By placing an order on our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Formation of the contract

A purchase contract is concluded once payment has been successfully completed.

After placing your order, you will receive:

  • an order confirmation as proof of purchase

  • a summary of your customer rights where applicable

Order information is stored for administrative and legal purposes.
A copy can be requested at any time.

3. Prices, taxes and transparency

3.1 Prices

All prices displayed on Tapison.co.uk:

  • are shown in pounds sterling (£) unless stated otherwise

  • may be changed at any time without prior notice

Online prices may differ from showroom prices.
The price shown at checkout is the final and binding price for your order.

3.2 What is included

Included in the price:

  • the product price as shown at checkout

  • UK import VAT, customs duties and clearance charges for orders delivered to the United Kingdom

Not included unless stated:

  • return shipping costs

Orders shipped to the United Kingdom are delivered on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis. This means that import VAT, customs duties and clearance charges are covered by Tapison and no additional payments are required from the customer upon delivery.

4. Product information and handmade characteristics

We take great care to provide accurate product descriptions. Please note:

  • handmade rugs may show slight variations in size

  • colours may appear different depending on screen settings and lighting

  • small differences in texture or tone can occur between production batches

These characteristics are inherent to handmade and textile products and are not considered defects.

5. Product conformity

You are entitled to receive products that:

  • match their description

  • meet normal quality and durability standards

If a product is faulty or incorrect, we will offer an appropriate solution in line with UK consumer regulations.

6. Delivery

6.1 Delivery areas

We deliver to the United Kingdom and selected international destinations.

Delivery to P.O. boxes is not possible.

Customs duties, import VAT or handling fees imposed by UK authorities are not controlled by Tapison and remain the responsibility of the customer.

6.2 Delivery times

Estimated delivery times are shown on each product page and depend on availability:

  • in stock: dispatch typically within a few business days

  • made to order or special items: delivery time available on request

Delivery times are indicative and may be affected by holidays, production schedules or transport delays.

7. Promotions and discounts

Promotional offers:

  • are valid only during the stated period

  • are not applied retroactively

  • cannot be combined unless explicitly stated

8. Returns and refunds (UK policy)

Tapison.co.uk offers a 30-day return period from the date of delivery.

8.1 Return conditions

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • unused and unwashed

  • in its original condition

  • returned in the original packaging

  • complete with all original labels

8.2 Return shipping

Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping.

  • no restocking fees are charged

  • return shipping costs are not refundable

8.3 Non-returnable items

Returns are not accepted for:

  • items marked as final sale

  • clearance or outlet items where stated

  • products explicitly marked as non-returnable

9. Refund processing

Once your return has been received and inspected:

  • we will notify you of approval or rejection

  • approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days

  • additional processing time may apply depending on your bank or payment provider

If you have not received your refund after 15 business days, please contact us.

10. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you wish to receive a different rug, we recommend returning the original item (subject to approval) and placing a new order separately.

If an item has a manufacturing defect, we will of course provide a suitable solution.

11. Payments and security

Payments are processed securely via Stripe and other authorised payment providers.

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express

  • PayPal

  • bank transfer

Payment details are encrypted and never accessible to Tapison.

12. Customer information accuracy

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information.

Incorrect details may lead to delivery delays or failed shipments.

13. Delivery issues and damage

13.1 Visible damage

Any visible damage should be reported to the carrier at the time of delivery.

13.2 Hidden damage

Hidden damage must be reported as soon as possible after discovery, ideally within 48 hours, including photographs.

We will assess the situation and propose an appropriate solution.

14. Complaints

We aim to resolve complaints quickly and fairly.

All content on this website including images, texts, product descriptions and branding is protected by intellectual property laws.

Unauthorised use or reproduction is prohibited.
