A rust orange ground carries column after column of honeycomb medallions, each one filled with a different combination of colour and pattern — cobalt blue in one, mustard and turquoise in the next, deep purple with olive green further along. A narrower border of small diamonds runs the perimeter in the same fiery orange, holding the composition together without competing with it. Nothing repeats exactly, which is precisely what gives a kilim like this its quiet, handmade authority. The variation is not accidental. It is the result of a weaver making decisions at the loom, one colour change at a time, across the entire piece.
Hand-woven in Afghanistan from 100% pure wool, with no pile and no backing — just a flat, durable weave where every colour change marks a choice rather than a repetition.
