Kilim Spice 149414 is the largest piece in the kilim collection and, in the best possible sense, the most demanding to look at. Four columns and seven rows of hexagonal medallions march across a vivid rust orange ground, each carrying its own small world of pattern in rose pink, olive green, navy, teal and mauve. Spend a minute with it and you start developing opinions — this one's tiny diamond grid, that one's soft pink florals. A deep, layered border wraps the whole composition in zigzags of coral, olive and pale blue, closed off with a navy edge stepped in small climbing diamonds. The ambition of the piece is considerable, and the execution matches it entirely.
None of this variation is accidental. It is the product of a weaver working from accumulated skill and memory across the entire surface, making decisions about colour and pattern that no printed guide could anticipate. 100% pure wool, woven flat with no separate backing — a construction that has been used in this part of the world for centuries because it holds up in a way that more elaborate methods often do not.
At 290 by 200 centimetres, this rug needs room. A generous sitting room or open dining space where it can be seen in full rather than concealed under furniture. Alongside warm timber, brass and leather it requires very little else to feel entirely complete.
Shake out periodically. Vacuum on a gentle setting without the beater bar. Air outdoors now and then. Lift spills quickly and dry completely flat.

Rugs in stock at our showroom ship within 3 working days; items coming from external warehouses or production require additional processing time.

Returns
You have 30 days to return your rug from our standard collection, provided it is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
