Ivory, sand and greige drift into one another across Acsento Bergen like dunes seen from above. The real interest is in the surface: some areas are smooth cut pile, others a fine ribbed loop, so your hand picks up the pattern before your eye does.
With colours this close together, the design stays soft and gets on with almost anything. It suits a pale sitting room with a linen sofa, light oak and plenty of daylight, perhaps in a Scandinavian style new build, and it makes a lovely landing for bare feet beside a bed. Choose 160 x 230 cm for a bedroom, 200 x 290 cm where a sofa and two chairs gather, and 240 x 340 cm for a larger living room.
Its yarn is New Zealand wool, prized for softness and a clean, light colour, hand tufted in India onto a cotton backing with a 20 mm pile. It is happy on underfloor heating. Slight differences in size and shade come with handwork. While the new wool is still shedding, vacuum a little more frequently with a smooth nozzle, and blot any spill with a dry cloth at once.
