Weathered is the word for Acsento Laguna Bronze. Bronze, khaki and sand are worked into one another so finely that the surface recalls a sun baked garden wall or a piece of old patinated copper, and that lived in character is exactly where its appeal lies.
Clay pots, limewashed walls, a bouclé armchair and some dark oak give it a sunny, southern mood, even in a city terrace on a wet Tuesday. In an all white room it does the opposite job, softening the starkness. The mix of browns and sands is so fine that the rug never looks flat and shrugs off daily wear. A sofa plus two chairs sits well on 200 x 300 cm, a large sitting room takes 240 x 340 cm, and a bedroom 170 x 230 cm.
Woven by machine in Belgium from acrylic, polyester, viscose and cotton, Laguna is a properly flat rug of around 4 mm with a latex backing that resists slipping. Underfloor heating suits it nicely. Upkeep is light: a gentle vacuum, and spills pressed dry the moment they happen.
