Noisette is French for hazelnut, which tells you most of what you need to know. Acsento Moonshadow Noisette mixes hazelnut, sand and a hint of gold, a brown that never tips into red, and its fine lines and faint veins shimmer as you walk around it, rather like sunlit sandstone.
Sitting between beige and brown, it links things that otherwise might not speak: dark parquet and white walls, a cream sofa and a walnut table. In a cottage bedroom under the beams it adds warmth underfoot without asking for attention. A double bed is well dressed with 170 x 230 cm alongside. Around a sofa with armchairs use the 200 x 300 cm, or, for a dining table, the full 240 x 340 cm.
Woven by machine in Belgium, this dense rug combines wool with cotton, polyester and acrylic, woven to an 11 mm pile with a latex underside against slipping. Underfloor heating is no problem for it. As with most wool blends, a few loose fibres may appear early on, and regular vacuuming clears them. Treat spills by dabbing, not scrubbing.
