Stripes do not have to shout. On Acsento Origin Beige they are so fine that the rug reads as a warm, textured neutral: threads of sand, ivory and caramel running from side to side, with an occasional line of muted green. The slightly knobbly yarn gives the surface depth, the kind you notice in low afternoon light.
It is a practical choice for a kitchen diner or a family living room where crumbs and muddy paws are part of life, because the mix of tones hides the everyday. Pair it with an oatmeal sofa, oak boards and a few pieces of stoneware. Choose 190 x 290 cm for most sitting rooms, 230 x 340 cm under a table for six, and 155 x 230 cm for a bedroom or a snug.
Origin comes off the loom in Belgium. It is made of polyester, has a low 8 mm pile and a latex backing that grips the floor. It is suitable for underfloor heating. A weekly vacuum keeps it fresh, and spills come up best when you blot them straight away with a clean, dry cloth.
