Sage, khaki and a touch of stone: the green in Acsento Origin Green is the muted sort you find on garden gates and old shutters, not on a football pitch. Slender threads of greyish green, greige and taupe build up the colour, and it shifts through the day, a little cooler at breakfast and warmer once the lamps come on.
That restraint is what makes it easy. Lay it on the flagstones of a cottage kitchen diner with whitewashed walls, or on pale oak in a loft conversion with black metal windows, and it fits both. Linen curtains and terracotta pots suit it well. A 230 x 340 cm rug takes a dining table for six, 190 x 290 cm anchors the sofa, and 155 x 230 cm is the snug size.
This is a Belgian machine woven rug in polyester, finished with bound edges and a latex back that stops it sliding about. The pile is a low 8 mm and it works with underfloor heating. Keep it looking crisp with regular vacuuming, and lift small marks by blotting with a clean cloth.
