Monochrome, but with curves. Swing from Acsento lays rounded fields of cream between bold black bands that swell and taper as they travel across the rug, a little like the porthole windows of a 1960s lido. Strong contrast, gentle lines.
Give it room to breathe. In a loft conversion with white walls and a polished concrete floor, it needs nothing more than a low leather chair and a walnut coffee table. On dark stained boards in a Georgian flat, the cream ovals glow under the sash windows. The 200 x 300 cm size sits well beneath a three seater with armchairs, 170 x 230 cm suits a bedroom or snug, and 240 x 340 cm covers a generous open plan seating area.
Belgian machine looms produce Swing in a blend of four fibres: wool, cotton, polyester and acrylic. The low pile measures 11 mm, the backing is anti slip latex, and underfloor heating below is not an issue. Keep the cream areas bright with regular vacuuming using a smooth nozzle, and tackle any spill on them quickly with gentle blotting.
