Halfway down Decor Pilar Coral, the stripes lose their nerve and shuffle sideways. Bands of coral, pushed towards orange, run the length of the rug beside olive green and cream, some as wide as a hand and some no thicker than a pencil line. Split into three horizontal sections, the pattern shifts in the middle, so the eye keeps catching a small jolt of surprise. The dense cut wool gives the coral a saturated, almost glowing depth.
Put it in a 1930s semi with original parquet and it feels as though it was always meant to be there, a nod to the decade without any fancy dress. Keep the sofa plain in cream or sand, add a dark wood bookcase and a couple of big leafy plants, and let the coral set the tone. 200 x 280 cm takes a three seater and armchairs, 250 x 350 cm suits open plan living or seats six at the table, while a bedroom is happiest with 160 x 230 cm.
Pilar is tufted by hand in India. Its pile is pure new wool, clipped to 17 mm, over a latex and cotton base. Underfloor heating is not a problem. Some loose fluff in the early weeks is simply new wool settling in and fades with steady vacuuming. Leave the spinning brush of your vacuum out of it, and treat any accident with a dry towel, patting instead of scrubbing.

Delivery times vary by stock location and are shown on each product page. Rugs in stock at our showroom ship within 3 working days; items coming from external warehouses or production require additional processing time.

You have 30 days to return your rug from our standard collection, provided it is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
