Who decided that a deep pile rug had to be beige? Loom Calendula answers with marigold and a darker ochre, cooled by threads of cream and pale grey. Nothing is printed or drawn here. The colours are blended strand by strand, and the thick felted yarns are cut to different lengths, so the surface rises and dips like long grass and gives a soft bounce with every step.
Yellow underfoot takes a little nerve, but the reward is a room that feels lit even on a dull February afternoon. Try it in the back bedroom of an Edwardian terrace, on honey coloured boards, with white walls and one more yellow note, a cushion or a ceramic lamp base, and nothing else competing. Choose 160 x 230 cm beside a double bed, or 200 x 300 cm in a bright sitting room where a three seater and an armchair can both stand on it.
Brink & Campman weave Calendula in the Netherlands on an axminster loom, from 100% pure new wool spun into a felted yarn. The pile reaches about 45 mm, in deliberately uneven heights, on a backing of jute and cotton, and the rug is suitable for underfloor heating. During the first weeks the new wool lets go of some fluff, which regular vacuuming soon clears. Leave the rotating brush off, and now and then ruffle the pile with your fingers to lift it.

Delivery times vary by stock location and are shown on each product page. Rugs in stock at our showroom ship within 3 working days; items coming from external warehouses or production require additional processing time.
For deliveries outside the EU, local customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations.
Returns
You have 30 days to return your rug from our standard collection, provided it is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
