From across the room Loom Natural Storm looks like a single warm grey. Walk closer and it breaks apart into taupe, stone and beige, with flecks of blue grey, the odd charcoal strand and a thread or two of caramel. The felted wool strands are cut to different heights, so the surface feels rugged and pebbled, a little like a shingle beach in winter light.
Its gift is diplomacy. Sitting halfway between warm and cool, it gets a grey sofa and an oak floor talking to each other, and it softens hard edges such as poured concrete, steel and black framed glazing in a new build or a kitchen extension. Use 200 x 300 cm as a generous base for a sofa and coffee table, or 160 x 230 cm in a bedroom, where the deep pile makes the first steps of the morning a much kinder affair.
Natural Storm is woven in the Netherlands by Brink & Campman on an axminster loom. Its felted yarn is 100% pure new wool, with a pile of roughly 45 mm in varied heights, finished on jute and cotton. Laying it on underfloor heating is fine. Expect the odd tuft of loose fibre at first, a normal trait of new wool that fades as you keep vacuuming. A smooth suction head is kinder than a spinning brush, and fluffing the pile by hand keeps it lively.

Rugs in stock at our showroom ship within 3 working days; items coming from external warehouses or production require additional processing time.

Returns
You have 30 days to return your rug from our standard collection, provided it is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
