Grey and beige yarns are mixed for Senso Level Soft Taupe, giving a cool greige with a few lighter flecks that keep it lively without turning into a pattern. The only drawing is a slender relief line, tone on tone. One rectangle follows the outer edge, a second, smaller one sits low within it and slips just over the lower border like a second storey. Fingers find it first, eyes a moment later.
A composed, cool shade like this is ideal for a home office, perhaps in a box room or a garden studio. Lay it under an oak or black steel desk on grey tiles or pale boards, and the room gains warmth without visual clutter, while the desk chair rolls smoothly over the flat weave. A linen curtain and a bouclé armchair for reading make work feel part of home. 160 x 230 cm suits most studies.
Hand weaving in India turns pure new wool into this flat, 6 mm rug. Wool recovers naturally after pressure, and the low profile lets doors clear it easily. Without a backing, it needs a grippy underlay on any smooth floor. It is happy over underfloor heating as well. A few weeks of light shedding is normal for new wool and tails off as you vacuum.
