x Collina Strada Plaid Garden Pop Rug

Imagine a tartan painted freehand on a sunny afternoon and you are close to this rug in Plaid Garden Pop. Blush pink is crossed by loose, brushy stripes of moss and sage, rust and cinnamon, so the check looks drawn rather than ruled. Hand carved edges and varying pile heights add to that lively, sketched quality.

It thrives on company. Put it in an Edwardian semi with plaster pink walls, a deep green velvet sofa and a mix of patterned cushions, or let it be the single bold gesture in a bay window with white walls and warm oak. 180 x 270 cm suits a bedroom or a home office with a sense of humour, 200 x 300 cm frames a three seater with two chairs, 250 x 350 cm a larger seating area and 300 x 400 cm a generous family room.

Collina Strada is a New York fashion label, and this plaid first appeared on its autumn winter 2026 runway before Layered brought it to the floor. The rug is hand tufted in Bhadohi, India, from 100% wool, with a pile that moves between 12 and 17 mm and edges shaped by hand. It suits underfloor heating. Handwork means each piece may vary slightly in size and colour. Fresh wool sheds a little to begin with. Vacuum without a beater bar and dab spills promptly with a clean, dry cloth.
