Golden camel is one of those colours that makes every other warm tone in a room look intentional. On Earth Bamboo Camel the short pile shifts between honey and toffee, and the bamboo silk in the yarn catches the lamplight, so the rug seems a shade lighter from one side than from the other.
Picture a snug with bookshelves painted in deep olive, a tobacco velvet armchair and a brass reading lamp, with this rug spread over dark stained boards. It keeps the room cosy without making it heavy. Choose 170 x 240 cm for a compact sitting room, 200 x 300 cm to take a three seater and a chair, or 250 x 300 cm when you want a generous island of colour.
Earth Bamboo is woven by hand in India, the yarn an even blend of New Zealand wool and bamboo silk, for Massimo Copenhagen in Denmark. Underfloor heating is no issue. A handmade rug may differ slightly in size and tone. Bamboo silk dislikes water, so keep anything damp well away and blot spills dry without delay. Vacuum without the brush, and leave any deeper clean to a specialist. It feels most at home in a calm room rather than a busy thoroughfare.
