Dry sand, oatmeal, unbleached linen: that is the family Escape Kelim Light Beige belongs to, and none of it came from a dye pot. The wool keeps its own natural shade, woven completely flat with no pile at all. Both short ends finish in a band of a different shade, with no fringes, so the outline stays clean.
In an Edwardian terrace with stripped boards and white walls, this pale kilim lifts the whole ground floor. Add cane chairs, a pale oak coffee table and a heap of linen cushions and the room feels like a long weekend. The 170 x 240 cm size suits a snug or bedroom, 200 x 300 cm takes a three seater with armchairs, and 300 x 400 cm can carry a whole sitting room. The 90 x 250 cm runner lies flat along a hallway.
Massimo Copenhagen, the Danish rug brand, has Escape Kelim handwoven in India in the kelim technique. The material is 100% undyed natural New Zealand wool, and because there is no pile the rug lies low and works over underfloor heating. Every hand loom leaves its own small signature in size and shade. A little fluff appears in the first weeks, which regular vacuuming with the brush roll switched off takes care of. Press a dry cloth onto spills and never rub.

Delivery times vary by stock location and are shown on each product page. Rugs in stock at our showroom ship within 3 working days; items coming from external warehouses or production require additional processing time.
For deliveries outside the EU, local customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations.
Returns
You have 30 days to return your rug from our standard collection, provided it is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
