Charcoal so deep it nearly tips into black. Rya Charcoal is a shaggy wool rug in the old Scandinavian rya tradition: long, loose strands that fall every which way and catch the light at their tips, giving the dark surface a soft glow. Push your fingers in and it feels generous, deep and warm.
This is a rug with presence. In a living room with pale walls it becomes the confident centrepiece, and in a snug painted ink blue, with a club chair and low lamps, it deepens the mood further. Against white bed linen and light oak in a loft bedroom, the contrast is striking. Choose 140 x 200 cm beside a bed, 170 x 240 cm for a snug, or 200 x 300 cm under a sofa group.
Rya is a handwoven rug from India, made of 100% New Zealand wool, and it works on underfloor heating. Each one differs a touch in size and shade, as handwork will. Give it a good shake outdoors from time to time, or vacuum on a low setting with no brush. A long pile loses loose fibres in the first weeks, which is perfectly normal. Blot spills with a dry cloth, never rub.

We offer free delivery anywhere in the European Union on all rug orders. Every rug is carefully packaged and shipped with tracking. Delivery times vary by stock location and are shown on each product page. Rugs in stock at our showroom ship within 3 working days; items coming from external warehouses or production require additional processing time.
For deliveries outside the EU, local customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations.
Returns
You have 30 days to return your rug from our standard collection, provided it is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
