Golden, like straw in late summer. Sumace Natural keeps the honest colour of the plant fibre, knotted by hand from hemp and jute into a thick, uneven surface with an easy, earthy feel. When the sun reaches it the whole rug seems to glow, and fringes trim both short ends.
It warms a white kitchen diner straight away, and it suits a cottage sitting room or a pared back Scandinavian space just as well. Add a scrubbed pine table, a few baskets and some trailing plants, or lay it under a dining table, where the low surface looks neat and calm. A snug takes 170 x 240 cm, a sofa and armchairs need 200 x 300 cm, and the largest, 250 x 300 cm, covers a bigger seating area.
This rug is hand knotted in India from 100% hemp and jute, and it can lie on underfloor heating. Sizes are measured without the fringes. Like any natural fibre, it should stay dry: run the vacuum over it with the brush off, dab up spills straight away, and do not attempt wet cleaning. Handmade, no two pieces are quite identical in size or colour.

We offer free delivery anywhere in the European Union on all rug orders. Every rug is carefully packaged and shipped with tracking. Delivery times vary by stock location and are shown on each product page. Rugs in stock at our showroom ship within 3 working days; items coming from external warehouses or production require additional processing time.
For deliveries outside the EU, local customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations.
Returns
You have 30 days to return your rug from our standard collection, provided it is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
