Borage began as a William Morris furnishing fabric, and the little blooms keep their lively, wheeling rhythm in wool. On Morris & Co Borage Blue they appear in ivory, caramel and a coppery brown against deep indigo, with a wide border of pale tulips and curling stems that glow against the dark.
Indigo this deep reads almost black by lamplight and clearly blue by day, so the rug changes with the hours. It belongs in a room with some history: a Victorian dining room with a marble fireplace and a scrubbed farmhouse table, or a sitting room with dark oak and a bouclé sofa. For the seating area, 200 x 300 cm gathers a sofa and a pair of chairs, and 250 x 350 cm will seat six at dinner.
Borage Blue is knotted by hand in Nepal. Pure new wool is tied onto a cotton foundation to give a dense 12 mm pile that is firm and smooth underfoot. Knotting is slow, patient work, and any slight unevenness in measurement or colour is simply the signature of the weaver. The rug can lie over underfloor heating. Vacuum it regularly with no rotating brush and blot spills with a clean dry cloth.

We offer free delivery anywhere in the European Union on all rug orders. Every rug is carefully packaged and shipped with tracking. Delivery times vary by stock location and are shown on each product page. Rugs in stock at our showroom ship within 3 working days; items coming from external warehouses or production require additional processing time.
For deliveries outside the EU, local customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations.
Returns
You have 30 days to return your rug from our standard collection, provided it is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
