Lichen on a garden wall after a shower. Torino 063.0078.4234 lays sage and olive yarns over a deep base of plum and brown, so the green changes character as the light moves: fresh by a window, almost bottle dark in the corners. A dark brown bound edge keeps the outline tidy.
Green gets on with more than people expect. In a Victorian terrace with a tiled hallway leading through, it sits happily beside cognac leather, rattan and warm oak, yet looks just as sharp with crisp white and black. Add a few plants and a sitting room feels like an orangery in February. A snug takes 160 x 230 cm nicely, a family living room 240 x 330 cm, and the pebble shape to loosen up a room of hard edges.
This Tapison Home rug is machine woven from polyester and has a dense pile measuring 11 mm. It may be laid over underfloor heating and its colour stays fast. Keep up a routine of vacuuming, lift any spill by blotting with a damp cloth without rubbing it in, and rotate the rug occasionally so one side does not take all the wear.
