Worried that a pale rug will not survive a week of real life? Torino 063.0078.6575 is cream and sand, shaded with taupe like freshly skimmed plaster, and that mottling is exactly what makes it forgiving. The low, dense pile keeps dust and crumbs on the surface, where the vacuum lifts them easily.
It belongs in a room that wants to feel open and restful. Think of a Georgian flat with sash windows, greige walls, a washed linen sofa, light oak and a few natural accents in rattan or travertine. In a bedroom it is soft and quiet, in a sitting room it hands the spotlight to your furniture and art. Go for 160 x 230 cm in a bedroom, while 240 x 330 cm lets a corner sofa sit fully on it.
Woven by machine from polyester, this Tapison Home rug has an 11 mm pile and a matching beige bound edge, and its tone survives a sunny window. It suits underfloor heating. Give it a regular vacuum, press a barely damp cloth onto spills straight away, and shift its position from time to time so the pile wears evenly.
